#BookReview ; Cold Truth by Nikhil Pradhan

A missing girl. A curious journalist. A terrifying conspiracy.  When 10-year-old Sakshi goes missing from East Delhi, almost no one, including the police seems too concerned. Not until a journalist begins to ask questions. Soon, what started as an innocuous investigation into corruption and systemic apathy begins to reek of a larger and terrifying conspiracy, as chilling secrets and long-dead skeletons tumble out. Pieced together like a case-file, using police reports, interviews, leaked emails and WhatsApp conversations, COLD TRUTH takes you from the by-lanes of Delhi and the communist bunkers of Russia to the frozen grounds of Antarctica, following a trail that will leave you questioning what is real and what isn't.

Cold Truth is a thriller fiction written by Nikhil Pradhan & published by Harper Collins India. The author is from Gangtok, Sikkim, but has worked and lived in different cities across India. He has worked in technology journalism and in advertising with Ogilvy. Cold Truth is his first book.

The narrator is a journalist who starts to investigate the disappearance of a 10 year old girl from East Delhi, Sakshi Prakash but what seemed like a case of lethargic attitude of police & authorities takes a different turn as the investigation goes further by collecting information through newspaper articles, documents, whatsapp chats, etc taking our narrator from India to Russia & then Antarctica. Get this book here to unravel a mystery you’ve never read before,
Let’s first acknowledge a fact that this is the debut book of the author but I can assure you that it won’t feel amateurish at all. The plot is ambitious & is a breath of fresh air, though meanders a bit but then picks up the pace quite smoothly. The cover is nice, the title could’ve been better while the language used is quite simple except some typical words which might be a hindrance for some readers. A good read for thriller lovers.
